Over the last decade, the demand for industrial and collaborative robot education in Malaysia has grown rapidly. Currently, more than 10 universities across the country implement dedicated robotics programs. Sunway University, Monash University, Universiti Kuala Lumpur, and Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah — just to name a few.
As an official Dobot Robotics Distributor, APulsar Technologies has been providing educational services for university robotics programs since 2024. We have taught over 100 students how to operate desktop cobots and program their integration with conveyors, pick-and-place scenarios, sensors, and external peripherals.
At the core of our offering is the Dobot Certified Robotic Associate (DCRA) Program. The main goal of this program is to equip undergraduates with industry-aligned skills in desktop robotics through a hands-on, competency-based training module. It enables students to master foundational programming and execute real-world tasks using the Dobot platform.

About the Program
APulsar Technologies and Dobot collaborate closely with educators and professors to develop training courses and curricula based on the latest automation technologies. Through these comprehensive programs and assessments, your students or employees can become skilled, fully trained professionals in industrial automation.
We currently offer two main educational tracks:

Educational Topics
Our curriculum is built around the Magician and Magician E6 Dobot educational robots, fully integrated with the Dobot AI Kit, Sensor Kit, Production Kit, and Universal Training Platform.
Students gain hands-on experience controlling and programming a real robotic arm using Dobot’s visual programming language, Blockly, as well as Python. They learn how to execute precise movements, design pick-and-place routines, draw shapes, and integrate sensor feedback. Through guided laboratory sessions, students explore core robotics principles, practice safe operation, and build their own small-scale automation projects. This engaging approach develops problem-solving skills and provides a solid understanding of how robotics is applied in modern industry.
Training Program Scope
Curriculum & Core Objectives
The training is delivered through practical, hands-on lab sessions guided by a professional instructor. To ensure maximum engagement and safety, class sizes are capped at 20 participants. At the end of the program, students undergo a formal Competency Evaluation.
- Duration: Two 3-hour classes (6 hours total) or one 4-hour intensive class, depending on the academic level.
- Core Equipment: Dobot Magician, Conveyor, Photoelectric Sensor, and Colour Sensor.
- Certification: Dobot Certified Robotic Associate (DCRA).
- Industry-Aligned Competency: Equip undergraduates with practical desktop robotics skills through a competency-based, hands-on training module.
- Hardware Configuration: Master safe robot setup, workflow design, and End-of-Arm Tooling (EOAT) configuration.
- Motion Control & Logic: Bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and real hardware by programming axis, joint, and linear motions.
- Peripheral Integration: Use Blockly and Python to build structured, industry-referenced pick-and-place routines that interact dynamically with external sensors and conveyors.
