The EDS-316 Ethernet switches deliver an economical solution for industrial Ethernet connections. These 16-port switches include a built-in relay warning function. This function alerts network engineers when power failures occur. It also notifies them when port breaks happen. Engineers designed the switches for harsh industrial environments. They meet the requirements for hazardous locations. These locations include Class I Div. 2 and ATEX Zone 2 standards.
The switches comply with FCC, UL, and CE standards. They support two operating temperature ranges. The standard range covers -10 to 60°C. The wide range extends from -40 to 75°C. All switches in the series complete a 100% burn-in test. This testing ensures they meet the special requirements of industrial automation control applications. You can install the EDS-316 switches easily on a DIN rail. You can also mount them in a distribution box.

| Note: When connecting a single-mode fiber transceiver, we recommend using an attenuator to prevent damage caused by excessive optical power. Note: Compute the “typical distance” of a specific fiber transceiver as follows: Link budget (dB) > dispersion penalty (dB) + total link loss (dB). |
